Our Midwives provide a wide array of clinical services specially designed to meet your needs. Whether you just started your period or your well beyond the reproductive years we have you covered!
Maternity care isn't one size fits all. Prenatal, birth, and postpartum care with our team is personal, not rushed, and tailored to your needs. In addition to a comprehensive birth center package, our midwives provide pay-per visit prenatal and postpartum care as well as options for collaborative or concierge high risk pregnancy care.

When you give birth at our center we have every detail in mind. From water birth to newborn screening we have you covered.
Midwifery Care:

Concierge Midwifery Care From$500
Just because you may be experiencing a "high risk" pregnancy, or prefer a planned hospital birth, doesn't mean you don't need a midwife as part of your team! Even in the most complex pregnancies all the normal parts still exist but often they get overlooked. Concierge Midwifery Care is designed to supplement the care you provide from your primary OB provider.

In addition to providing routine newborn care to babies born at our birth center, we also offer the following services for babies born with other midwives and physicians. Some of our newborn and pediatric services include:

Wellness & Gyn Care
Annual Wellness Care:
A non-rushed 60 minute visit with one of our Nurse-Midwives to review your past, current, and future health. In addition to the regular stuff (physical exam, pelvic exam, if indicated and with consent, labs collection, referrals for mammograms, specialists, etc) the midwife assist you in a plan to improve your over all health and well being.

Issue Focused Care:
Looking for evaluation and consultation on a particular issue or concern. Not only do Nurse-Midwives provide maternity care, they also provide a wide range of primary and GYN care. From puberty through menopause, we have got you covered!

* The cost of labs, ultrasounds, diagnostic testing, prescription medications, referrals, services rendered at HHBWC from partnering providers, or hospital charges are not included and are the clients responsibility. When applicable, they may be billed to the client's insurance.
Family Building and Fertility
At Heart of Houston we believe that families come in all different shapes and sizes. Our midwives offer family building and fertility care that is inclusive, personalized, and tailored to your needs. Whether you are just now thinking about becoming a parent, or have been exploring options for a long time, our midwives bring a gentle approach to what is often a very impersonal and clinical experience.
Family Building Consultation: $250
This non-clinical consultation is the perfect way to explore fertility options at the beginning of your family building journey. During this 60 minute visit we will provide you with information designed to support your decision making. We can help map out the fertility process, develop a timeline, and answer questions about general fertility health. Family building consultations can be in person or virtual
Initial Fertility Visit: $350
Initial Fertility Visits are a 90 minute visit with one of our midwives to initiate your fertility care. At his visit we will review your health history, discuss and order appropriate laboratory or diagnostic testing, review fertility charting and help guide you in timing for conception. This visit includes review of cycle charting and follows support through client messaging portal.
Follow up Fertility Visits: $150
30 minute in person or virtual visit to review any fertility charting, make recommendations for timing intercourse or insemination, discuss options etc.
Intra Uterine Insemination (IUI): (prices vary)
Heart of Houston offers IUI services either in the comfort of your own home, or in our birth center. As with all of our care, IUI procedures are trauma informed, gentle, non rushed, and tailored to your individual needs. Our base price for each insemination is $250. Additional fees may apply based on location and any necessary sample prep.
payment options
We accept cash, check, ACH, and credit/debit card. Online payment options are also available through the Client Portal. Our services are eligible for reimbursement through your FSA/HSA. Financing options are also available through United Medical Credit. We are happy to discuss any available discounts, payment plans, and financing options that may be available to you. All our fees are paid directly to us. We do not file claims with insurance.
Heart of Houston Birth and Wellness Center is not in-network with any private insurance plan or medicaid. Even though we are not in-network, in many cases our fees will be comparable (sometimes even cheaper) with your out-of-pocket expense. Depending on your individual plan, you may qualify for a gap-exception or out-of-network benefits reimbursement. We do not file claims with your insurance. If you would like to file for reimbursement from your insurance carrier we are happy to supply you with an invoice to submit to your carrier. We highly recommend Napier Midwifery Billing for assistance in determining your insurance benefits, obtaining a gap-exception, and filing claims.
